What we do

Media skills training
The highly interactive and enjoyable one-day course enables delegates to think for themselves in any media-facing situation, whether planned or unexpected. It is constructed around a solid 'architecture' for handling the media which, according to many clients, is also effective for many other kinds of personal encounter. (See comments.)
Sounding board
David Tebbutt and Martin Banks help organisations spot flaws and identify story opportunities in their ideas. Confidential workshops help delegates identify what will interest the media. They will gain new perspectives and be able to develop the necessary proof points and defence strategies.
Customers
The customer list reads like a roll-call of the world's top IT companies, from manufacturers and software publishers through to service providers. Delegates generally range from board level to product managers. David and Martin have trained over 3500 people in many countries to engage effectively with the media.

What we know

The media
David and Martin have deep experience with the worlds of print and online media. Collectively, 73 years of it, as editors, journalists and columnists. Both have won awards for their column-writing. David has also been blogging for five years. Their training is 'from the heart' and it shows, especially during discussions.
Training
As well as their deep media skills training experience since 1988, David had also spent three years as a management skills trainer. Since enjoyment goes hand in hand with learning, Martin and David chose the 'double act' approach to make their courses both effective and enjoyable.
The IT world
Taking the aggregate figure, David and Martin have spent 77 years in IT. Before entering the media, David had a conventional IT career. He was also a software publisher for 26 years, concurrent with his writing and training activities. Martin's IT involvement was kick-started through his writing about semiconductors.
